All foreign tourists must have a visa approved prior to arriving in the kingdom of Bhutan. A two week visa costs 20 US Dollar. All visa applications must reach Bhutan at least 3 weeks prior to the tourists intended arrival date. We apply for visa on behalf of our clients. Full passport details must be mailed or faxed us in order to process visas with immigration authorities. We will also advise all its clients of their visa status before their intended departure date. We can apply for an extension of tourist visa, should a visitor wish to remain in Bhutan for a longer duration than stipulated. Tourists must bring 3 passport size photographs of their own as these will be required by the immigration authorities at the entry points.
For all travelers entering Bhutan by Druk Air, the visa clearance number will be forwarded to the concerned overseas Druk Air stations; without which passenger are not allowed to board the flight. Visa clearance is also required while issuing for Druk Air tickets. For travelers entering into country by surface through Phuentsholing, the visa is stamped at Bhutan Foreign Ministry's branch office in Phuentsholing. For all FITs / GITs traveling during festivals, visa particulars must be send at least 8 weeks in advance.
